In April, Hope School in Goma was violently attacked, and several children were injured. The security situation in the region remains extremely fragile. WIN has supported our partner Claudaline in putting security guards in place — but we urgently need to raise funds to keep them there. Without ongoing protection, the school and its students remain at serious risk.
After the attack on Hope School, it took several weeks to identify a suitable security company, carry out necessary checks, and get guards in place — all while navigating a fragile and unstable environment. WIN has walked closely with our local partner Claudaline throughout, providing emergency funding and practical support. We’ve supported this school for years and have the trusted relationships and experience to act wisely in crisis. Now we need your help to sustain this vital protection.
