How does the Discipleship Course work?

Our World in Need Global Family run each course in their local areas

Local people are given the opportunity to join and grow in faith

They receive teaching, times of fellowship, printed materials and a meal

At the end of each module they complete a multiple choice test to reinforce understanding

The course is 100% free to participants, it costs WIN around £15 per person to supply the complete course - with food and a certificate!

How can I really make a difference?

What and where is the need?

The course is in pilot stage, with Pastors in Kenya, Uganda and the Philippines, waiting to learn the course and take it to their local area. A number of churches in Sierra Leone have already registered their interest. There is a growing hunger in other countries that we work in.

Why is this a pressing need now?

In many communities there is a need for teaching of the simple truths of following Jesus Christ.

Why are WIN best placed to tackle this need?

World in Need Global Family are working among meedy people, we want to show the practical love of God, but also give people the opportunity to grow in relationship with God through the understanding that can be gained from a simple course.

What will be the benefits of your work?

Our heart is that many will be given the opportunity to hear and learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What is the impact if we don’t do this now?

It has always been important that people have the opportunity to grow in thier understanding of what it means to follow Jesus Christ. Our Basic Disciple Course helps to give new believers (many of whom may not have access to even simple teaching) the simple foundational truths for everyday living for Jesus.

Why should people care about this?

Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations" and we want to play our part in his call.

How do you ensure success and accountability?

Materials and food are handled by World in Need Global Family in the country where the course is held. They are accountable to each country's version of the UK Charity Commission and WIN UK visit and audit Global Families in each country to ensure that funds are appropriated correctly.

How much does it cost?

We can deliver the course materials, food each session and a certificate for around £15 per person.
