The boys are very much involved with the buffalo. They are taught how to care for them, to feed and milk them as well as cleaning up after them. This is a great activity for the boys, giving them responsibility and real life skills, as well as teaching them to play their part in the running of the home.

Can you help the boys take even greater care of the buffalo that they rely on for good nutrious milk?

Please help us provide a buffalo shed and feeding troughs for our boys home in India

What and where is the need?

A shed is needed for the four buffalo at the boys home, to provide shelter especially in the colder winters.

Why is this a pressing need now?

The winters in this part of India can get cold and the animals really need to be inside.

Why are WIN best placed to tackle this need?

WIN supporters provided funds for one buffalo, which provides the boys with fresh milk.

What will be the benefits of your work?

The shed will give better protection for the buffalo and help to maintain their health and for their calves.

What is the impact if we don’t do this now?

There is a risk that the buffalo will get ill, this will also affect the milk supply for the boys.

Why should people care about this?

The boys home is some distance from the town, therefore the buffalo milk is a vital source of protein for them.

How do you ensure success and accountability?

Reciepts for materials and building will be provided to WIN and the shed will be seen by WIN visitors.
