These new followers of Jesus would greatly benefit from a building in one of the wettest areas in Asia!

Our desire is to see many more come to Christ in the area and gather for worship, Bible teaching and fellowship. A new building could also be used to serve the local community with basic schooling.

How can I really make a difference?

What and where is the need?

Following our success in a similar project in Dinajpur, we now need to build a church and school in Thakurgaon, Bangladesh

Why is this a pressing need now?

There are many new believers in this area. They don't have a suitable place to meet on Sunday for church service. Also the community is struggling for education as they are very poor. We will bring the community children to our non formal school for one year. After that we will help to transition them to the nearest formal school.

Why are WIN best placed to tackle this need?

We have been working in this local area from last year, and there is a full time Pastor engaged with the community there.

What will be the benefits of your work?

Believers can meet for church service and community children can get education.

What is the impact if we don’t do this now?

The new believers need to be part of gathering for a church service and the building will help with this a lot - if they are not united and built into a congregation then they may scatter where their new faith may be challenged without them having support. The secondary use as a school house will enable the local children to get ready for formal school so as soon as we can start then the impact on the current generation can start.

Why should people care about this?

There is a desperate need in these days to reach the unreached people of Bangladesh and to help children in their informal education.

How do you ensure success and accountability?

This is through WIN Bangladesh so part of our Global Family. We have close communication and supervision from our head office Dhaka, Bangladesh and also in the UK. The UK office carries out regular reporting, project oversight and auditing.
