For these families, putting food on the table is a daily struggle. Alongside poverty, Christians face persecution and discrimination that can limit their opportunities to earn a living. Many rely on some of the lowest-paid work available, bringing home wages that barely cover the essentials.
High prices for food, fuel and everyday supplies are stretching those small incomes further. Now, unrest and disruption are adding to the pressure. Families are limiting journeys to work and essential shopping, while even travelling to Sunday worship has been interrupted.
Yet children still need to eat, elderly relatives still need care, and parents are left trying to make too little go far enough.
Our target is £1,800 to help provide food packages for all 50 families.
Please give what you can. Together, we can help these families meet an immediate need and remind them that their brothers and sisters in Christ have not forgotten them.
Please also pray for peace, protection and renewed hope for these families and our local partner.
To protect those involved, we are keeping their location and identifying details private. The pictures used are from a previous food distribution appeal in 2020.
Our long-time Global Family partner has identified 50 Christian families who need support, including widows and households caring for several children and elderly relatives.
Each food package will contain rice, lentils, chickpeas, cooking oil, tea and other basic ingredients. Depending on the size of the household, these supplies are expected to last around 15 days to one month.
Your gift can ease the worry of where the next meal will come from and offer practical encouragement to families facing difficult circumstances.
