Our Boys Home in the Punjab region of India is called Frishta and is home to about 8 boys. These boys have often been orphaned or neglected by their familes. Our Global Family leader Rachel Studley has such a compassion for these boys and has started a home speficially to care for them and give them a better start in life.
Frishta is not only a place that provides shelter, food and access to an education, but it also instils in the boys the right way to live. They have responsibilities around the home and the land. The home has their own buffalo (one of which was provided for by WIN supporters). The buffalo have space to graze and water to bath and cool down in, however, they need a shed to provide shelter in the winter. Please can you help us to provide a new buffalo shed and some feeding troughs for these young farmers.
The boys are very much involved with the buffalo. They are taught how to care for them, to feed and milk them as well as cleaning up after them. This is a great activity for the boys, giving them responsibility and real life skills, as well as teaching them to play their part in the running of the home.
Can you help the boys take even greater care of the buffalo that they rely on for good nutrious milk?
