It’s been almost three months since I joined the World In Need family, and I’m expectant about all that God has in store for us. It’s been good getting to know the trustees, staff, and our dedicated volunteers. I’m looking forward to connecting with more of you this year.
Let me tell you a little more about myself. Before leading WIN, I was a full-time worship leader and spent years in international mission across Africa and South America. I also built a career in business, specialising in web development, strategy, and platform building for charities, startups, and global corporations.
As I’ve got to know more about WIN and the team, I’ve sensed that their calling is deeply aligned with my own. WIN’s work with schools and child sponsorship is especially close to my heart, having seen first-hand the challenges children in Uganda face on my previous missions trips. Ever since God called me to overseas mission nearly 20 years ago, these words have been central for me: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” (James 1:27). As we look to the future, I pray that God will guide us in continuing to live out this calling, working together to make a lasting difference in the world.
