Technology expands ministry in Sierra Leone

Our pastor in Tamba is reaching out using new platforms

Tamba, our pastor in Sierra Leone, now has a WhatsApp forum for ministry, which he uses to send out daily devotionals, and prayers for church members. Tamba also ministers through other social media platforms and radio broadcasts, and he’s found he’s able to help more people through being online. He’s established a relief programme for pastors in mission, and for those experiencing hardship.

In a post-Covid 19 world, Tamba believes his ministry will be more community-driven, to cater for the physical and socio-economic needs of people in the communities by organising relief, aid, development projects, helping start-up businesses, as well as supplying water wells and schools. The use of electronic media has become a powerful way to reach those who haven’t yet heard the Gospel.

He’s hoping to be able to empower fellow pastors to travel to villages by supplying motorbikes, laptops and projectors, and begin a wave of new church plants.
