Our team in Pakistan face many struggles, but at this time our Global Family Leader in Paksitan is weak and recovering from dengue fever. Please pray for her full recovery and that there are no lasting effects from this illness.
Our World in Need team work in a large city in Pakistan where there are often significant challenges for families to meet their basic needs. They may struggle to access clean water, adequate food, and healthcare. Housing conditions can be overcrowded, unsanitary, and lacking in basic amenities such as electricity and sanitation. This can make it difficult for people to maintain good health, attend school or work regularly, and build a secure future for themselves and their families.
There is a great need for help with children’s education. Due to high inflation many of the parents in the area have lost their jobs and those who have a job are paid less, so they are finding it difficult to pay to send children to school. The orphanage and some families that World in Need help, require provision of blankets, heaters and some warm clothes as it has been very cold. In addition, there is need for food, prices of simple vegetables are very high, and after the devastating floods last year, there are many problems accessing food. During Covid a food package was arranged for them every two months, and due to the ongoing financial difficulties in the area, the orphanage and those they help, need the same level of support again.
