WIN Philippines trust God in new move

Challenges and blessings are in God's hands

Our WIN Global Family in the Philippines faces a challenging year ahead as it transitions to a new place for the Cypress School, the church and its community work.

During the month of October the office was moved to its new address, which is about a kilometre from the former location. Enrolment at the school was greatly affected because proximity wise, parents preferred a school that is nearer to their house. This has meant that the number of students has gone down from 100 children in pre-pandemic times, to 30 learners during the pandemic, and now it is down to 20 children.

However, the staff at the school find great hope and joy in the faces of these 20 children this Academic Year 2022-2023. They stand faithfully in maintaining their vision for the school; that is — teaching, preaching the Gospel to the homes and families through a biblically integrated curriculum, and thus teaching the fear of the Lord and moral standards based on the Holy Bible. Through their faithfulness they hold onto the goodness of the Lord, in the knowledge that the blessing, favour and guidance of the Lord is upon His people and the work at hand.

The prayer of WIN Global Family in the Philippines is that they will have a secure place for the school, church, and community, where all programs will be housed as well as all the services. They ask that you would join them in prayer for this, and for them to have an understanding of the perfect timing of the Lord to gain momentum once again in the work as a whole.

May it be that provision overflows for the school to have enough resources and budget, especially as the Christmas season is coming. They prayful desire is to bless the two full-time workers, by giving their 13th month pay this December; also, blessing the children with special gifts before Christmas.

In their own words, "To the work at hand, God be lifted up and praised, to Him alone receives all glory in all that we do. Not unto us but to the Lord’s name be praised. May He increase and we decrease."

And we say, "Amen".
